The new Liaison Office in Tohoku University aims to strengthen collaboration in this field, as well as initiates and encourages further exchanges between the two universities.

A lively discussion of the potential collaboration on Nano-device, Nano-energy, Nano-optics Research, and Bio-medical Application was also carried out. From there, both universities intend to extend the research collaboration to dual PhD degree programme.
